Children’s Urgent Care Launches Pediatric Telemedicine
We are proud to announce the addition of Telemedicine to all of our patients. Patients now have the opportunity to speak with board-certified pediatricians/pediatric trained providers and receive diagnosis just like they would in a physical office setting, but through video.
Telemedicine will enable pediatric specialized providers at Children’s Urgent Care to treat patients all over the state of Illinois for minor illnesses and conditions, with just a click of a button. Through two-way video conferencing via smartphone, computer or tablet, patients will have access to immediate and affordable medical care from the comfort of their couch. Now, children in rural communities in Illinois have the same opportunity to speak with a certified provider as a child in the city. Our goal at Children’s Urgent Care is to eliminate distance barriers and offer another convenient option for healthcare.
“We continuously search for ways to better serve the community. Adding virtual visits for was the best next step for us,” said Kevin Broz, Operating Officer and Partner. “Virtual Visits allows us to treat kids all over the state ” continued Broz.
Virtual Visit is the first pediatric telemedicine service available through Children’s Urgent Care. Patients can opt to connect via video with one of our Illinois-based pediatric providers for minor illnesses. Furthermore, this will give patients access to the same high-quality pediatric care while minimizing travel and potential wait time. Telemedicine transforms the way we look at healthcare.
By virtual expansion we stay on the cutting edge of healthcare delivery and further our goal of bringing our great pediatric care to kids all over the state.
